People Wellbeing programmes have been developed to positively impact organisational performance through better employee health and wellbeing. We support organisations to shape a healthier environment to promote positive change.
Using our insight survey which covers the 8 recognised domains of employee wellbeing we provide a comprehensive understanding of where workforces are thriving and where wellbeing support needs to be prioritised whilst providing insight into future workforce threats.
The programme includes tailored workshops for all employees, CPD accredited wellbeing managers and champions training, workplace health checks, menopause champions training, mental health awareness training along with the tools and ongoing support to promote healthy workplace behaviours at all levels within the organisation.
In 2020, workplace stress was among the most significant challenges facing UK organisations which is why prioritisation needs to be placed on measurably improve employee wellbeing. Our programme positively and measurably impacts many wellbeing indicators including wellbeing benchmarking and regular monitoring, data driven wellbeing strategies, improved talent acquisition and retention, reduction in absence rates, quicker return to work times, higher return on investment, reduced costs, optimised productivity, increased resilience within teams, greater job satisfaction and reduced stress and anxiety.
While research continues into the many factors that influence wellbeing in the workplace, we do know enough to have developed a simple model that several organisations, including BT, have adopted. This evidence-based model identifies five main drivers of wellbeing in the workplace, in order of importance:
Starting with these five overarching drivers or themes we then map these to existing conceptual frameworks developed by specialist organisations such as the HSE (stress), the Money Advice Service (financial security) and the Wellbeing Institute (environment).
We also cross-checked with other existing evidence-based frameworks on aspects such as job quality characteristics, functioning, flourishing and engagement. From this work we developed the themes and ‘sub-themes’ model shown above.
Our insight survey uses these 5 drivers and incorporates behavioural science questions to guide the required content for your wellbeing strategy.
